4 Face Products I Use On Every Flight

Does anyone else feel like, as we get older, skin care is taking over our lives? The amount of time I spend thinking about what’s on my face or what I’m going to put on my face is probably only second to what I’m going to eat next.

All of this means I’m hyper-aware of what is going to be rough on my skin, so I always need a game plan to counteract the damage.

Flying.

One of the toughest things on our skin. It goes without saying to DRINK SO MUCH WATER before, during, and after you fly. Especially because airports exist in a space-time continuum and we seem to consume alcohol at every hour of the day when we travel, which adds even more dehydration.

Usually when I fly, especially long international flights, I land and feel like I look like a zombie shell of my self. It feels like my face has no color and my eyes are sunken in. This sounds dramatic, and maybe it’s partly airport lighting, but either way, it’s not pretty.

On my flight to Italy, I took these few short steps to help hydrate my skin and it made a WORLD of difference. I landed, looked in the mirror and didn’t want to run screaming. And I 100% credit these products.

Step 1: Dr. Dennis Gross Daily Peel (I fly with no makeup so this just cleanses and preps my skin for the mask).

Step 2: Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask  – apply all over, even under eyes, doesn’t have to be washed off.

Step 3: Peter Thomas Roth Hyaluronic Acid Cloud Patches – apply under eyes and get some stares from fellow passengers, but brush it off because you’ll look bright eyed and bushy tailed when you step off that plane.

Step 4: Caudalie Beauty Elixir Spray – Spray all over your face, and periodically for the duration of the flight if it’s a long one. Watch out for residual spray on your neighbors.
