The days are long and the years are fast – I feel that so hard as I get older. And having something you do at the same time every week makes it feel like it’s going even faster. It’s already time for another Feature Friday?? I finished the last one early in the morning in my hotel room in Montana, waiting to go on a hike with my sister, but that actually feels like its as forever ago… Anyway, I digress.
We have a random assortment of things that sparked my interest this week. But I guess there’s never much rhyme or reason.
It’s starting to feel like summer in Seattle! And one of the little things I enjoy is a refreshing cocktail at the end of the day, so I put a few of my favorite ingredients together and voila! Since it’s so simple, I wanted to add a little flare, so I made a tajin rim instead of salt, but you can of course do either or neither.
Remember these sandals?? They might be more of a PNW thing, but I grew up wading through rivers and at camp in the woods, and these were always on my feet. They have some super fun colors that just might make me purchase another pair.
Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) is starting next week!! As you (should have) learned on this Monday’s “Get To Know Me Monday” Instagram post, I studied film in college, and love indie films and documentaries, so a film festival is my playground. I’m doing all the research for you now, so I can give you the low down on what you should see!
I’m currently reading Chelsea Handler’s new book “Life Will Be The Death of Me (And You Too)”, and I’m loving it so far. She gets a little more real and raw in this book, but doesn’t lose her comedic voice, so I’m excited to get into it.
I finally finished my Walla Walla weekend guide! It features a couple places to eat and of course places to wine taste, but the real MVP is where we stayed.
Every year around this time I try to retire my jeans for the season ’cause I feel like I need to switch it up. As we learned last July, I’m never going to be able to get rid of them for good, but I can add other fun bottoms to my repertoire like this silk number and this extra happy skirt.
If you’ve been with me for awhile, you know I love my collagen peptides. I still think Costco is the cheapest way to get them (you can get a large Vital Proteins for like $50), but my friend over at Donuts + Down Dog shared this one from Amazon that’s much cheaper and as far as I can tell, exactly the same.
That’s all she wrote folks! I hope everyone enjoys the 80 degree weather this weekend before the rain returns next week. Hashtag springinseattle.
