Many of you might not know this, but I went to college in Missoula, Montana. It sounds random, but I grew up road tripping with my dad, and we were always spending time in Montana exploring the parks, fishing, etc. How I actually ended up in Missoula is a story for another day, but it will remain one of my most favorite places.

Believe it or not, Missoula actually has some very cute boutiques (which are more fun to frequent when I visit now that I’m not shopping on a college budget). Betty’s Divine is usually our first stop if we’re doing the “downtown tour”. They have great, fun pieces, and have always erred on the edgy side. (Remember when those rose earrings were such a huge thing?? I remember feeling like I’d hit the jackpot when I walked in there in probably 2007 and found the largest bowl of all colors of rose earrings).

Their new stuff is always great, but their vintage section is one of my favorites. It’s not ginormous, so you don’t feel like you’ll be there all day combing through things, and you can tell it’s carefully thought out and well-curated. Which brings me to my point, their Divine Trash Vintage Trash Club.

We’ve all heard of wardrobe subscription services. But this one is different. On their website, you answer a few questions about yourself; what body parts you like to show off, what colors you absolutely will not wear, if you’re a cat or dog person, and either once a month or every three months, they will pick out a vintage piece just for you and send it your way!

When I was last in Missoula, I found my coveted Mickey Mouse sweatshirt I wear all too often. They found me on Instan and asked if they could pick out a piece from their collection and send it to me and I said absolutely. (Truthfully, I was a little wary at first. It’s so hard to relinquish control and let someone else pick out a piece of clothing for you, especially if they’ve never met you). But to sum it up, they nailed it.

I encourage you to check out their website, Divine Trash Vintage, give the questionnaire a go, try it for a month, and be pleasantly surprised with a one-of-a-kind item picked out just for you. I really don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
